Dear friends and family,
We love and appreciate all of you very much! The Lord continues to use you significantly in our lives, even though we’re miles apart, and don’t communicate with each other often. The last few months have been especially hard for Sarah and I emotionally, as we’ve wrestled with accumulated discouragements and disappointments. Having a strong base of supporters has lifted our spirits time and again, and we are thankful to the Lord for you.
Multiple things have piled on top of each other to cause us to feel burdened and introspective over the last few months, one of which is hitting the 5 year mark on the field, yet seeing very little fruit.
But the Lord is using this time powerfully to deal more radically with the issues of our hearts and draw us closer to Himself, and for that we are extremely grateful. Thank you for your love and faithful support over all these 5 years!

Given these times of evaluation and focused prayer, we have purposefully scaled back some of the usual activity and busyness that would typically mark this time of the year. After coming back from a short time in Phoenix in January, we helped organize and lead “Christianity Explored“, an evangelistic course through the Gospel of Mark. It was our church’s 7-week long outreach to the neighboring student campus. In spite of weak attendance, the Lord used it in the lives of two young men who showed up to “check it out”, and started coming to church regularly! The Lord continues to use a variety of ways to draw people to Himself, and we are very thankful. Please pray with us for a life changing encounter of these men with Jesus.

At the end of February, Stevo was able to attend and help facilitate one of the tracks at the JV’s Advance Conference. It’s an annual resourcing and training conference for pastors, ministry leaders, and church planters from different E. European countries designed to help increase the reproductive capability of local churches in Eastern Europe. Besides excellent teaching from Dr. Tim Chester,http://www.amazon.com/Tim-Chester, the highlight for Stevo was the company of 4 other like-minded and like-hearted men representing Croatia this year (Dr. John Erickson, Kevin W, Siniša H., and Mufid B.).

This time together further highlighted our need for a strong JV Croatia team. Would you prayer with us that the Lord would call and clear the way for more people to join us in ministry here.
